Long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials, modified with PA, not only have excellent dry mechanical properties, but also have excellent resistance to hydrolysis/alcoholysis.

Several laboratories internationally have studied the effect of different lengths of pellets on the mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced nylon composites and found that the impact strength of the composites increases with the increase in the original length of the glass fiber. This is due to the fact that as the fiber length increases, the probability of fiber shear and fracture during impact increases, which will absorb more impact energy and thus enhance the ability of the composite to resist impact.

It is concluded that keeping the fiber length of glass fiber reinforced composites between 10-12 mm, this keeps the mechanical properties such as impact resistance, toughness, and rigidity of the composite at the highest.

LFT-PA6 LGF30% is a representative product of long glass fiber nylon 6 reinforced composites, whose excellent processing properties, mechanical properties, fatigue properties and odor determine its wide application in the automotive field.
